Poverty and Art

The subject of poverty often comes up in art. It is usually the centrepiece of most social justice pieces. Although this is a novel idea and it creates a lot of conversation and hopefully some changes for the marginalized communities we live with.

Many of you know that I have words in social services for the majority of my life. I feel close to those that are disenfranchised and living in poverty. It is for that reason that I tend to explore what poverty means.

It's important that I keep this perspective present in my life. If we look after each other, we can elevate life for others by simply living interdependently with each other.

Can you imagine a life where we are all okay?
